There aren’t many beauty products I feel strongly enough to write about but the ZIIP HALO from Ziip Beauty is definitely one of them…and I’ve got a discount code for you.

Six weeks ago, I told my manager that I wasn’t going to do any more paid partnerships that required me to do Before and After pictures. I’d done one a few months back that made me feel icky. It wasn’t that I didn’t think the product was great, it was just that measuring progress in Before and Afters when you rarely get a chance to test the product for as long as you’d like, just felt a bit disingenuous.
Of course, as is often the way, a brief had just landed with my manager that did, indeed, require Before and After shots.
I was sceptical and my initial instinct was to turn it down.
“Just give it a try for 2-3 weeks,” my manager said, “and see how you get on. It uses electrical currents to tighten your skin and make it brighter and clearer. If you’re not comfortable you don’t have to do it.”
I agreed reluctantly so when the ZIIP HALO landed on my doorstep, I’ll admit I was ready for it to be a bust. But, ever the pro, I decided to give it my best shot. I took my Before pictures and, for the next two weeks, I used the Halo every day. When it came time to decide whether I wanted to move forward with the partnership, I took my After pictures and compared the two and even I was a little astonished to see the effect it had had.
It’s clear to see that I have way more cheekbone definition in the ‘After’ picture. I also think that there’s been a huge improvement in the dark circles under my eyes - and trust me when I tell you that’s not down to a good night’s sleep! My overall complexion looks brighter and clearer and the lines around my mouth are also significantly reduced. My lines in my forehead - the ‘eleven lines’ or, as I like to call them, my ‘WTF’ lines are also less pronounced.
So, there’s no doubt that there have been improvements, but how does it work? Well, I think I’m going to stay in my lane here because I’m not a scientist…I wasn’t even any good at science when I was at school, but it combines microcurrents and nanocurrents to create, what I can only describe as, witchery. It’s not like the other tools that buzz and vibrate - you can barely feel the currents, but the results speak for themselves.
As a peri-menopausal woman, who struggles to get more than 5-6 hours sleep a night, rarely remembers to drink enough water and has a beauty routine but only performs it when she remembers and/or has enough energy, I’m always looking for something to help me look less like a potato and this is definitely something I’m adding to my beauty arsenal.
And, because I’m all about discounts, Ziip Beauty have offered readers of my Substack a 10% discount of all ZIIP devices. So, if you fancy giving it a try, then head to the Ziip Beauty website and use the code NOTSOSMUG.
